Hosted by Something Independent, The Wright is an annual convening of lifestyle industry leaders and award program. Each year, twelve Colorado companies are selected to contend for The Wright in recognition of their enterprising spirit and commitment to the notion that if you believe hard and do good work, people will notice.

AWARD NIGHT. OCTOBER 18.

While one contender will emerge and take home a $5,000 purse, the true prize is in convening with mindful, committed founders and innovators. Kelly Alford, co-founder of The Whole Works, a Rifle, Colorado-based small batch apparel manufacturer (and winner of the 2015 Wright Award) had this to say about being a part of The Wright.

“It marked a different moment in the trajectory of our company. We came in feeling like the new kid on the block. We left feeling we were part of this community of businesses that was going to be a part of making Colorado an incredibly inspiring place to grow a business.”

In stepping into the Wright ring, contenders are charged with sharing their story through video. This is 90-seconds to convey their mission and inspiration. This is their 90-seconds to make our judges believe. AWARD NIGHT, featuring the first-time showing of all contender videos, announcement of finalists followed by live, rapid-fire Q&A, will ultimately determine who will take home The 2016 Wright.

Space Gallery, in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, will again play host to Award Night. It all goes down on Tuesday, October 18. A limited number of tickets will be released. Stay tuned in to Something Independent for details and announcements.
