2013 Wright Award Winner: Voormi

Selected contenders will compete for top honors amongst their peers from the Colorado lifestyle industries at a live, open-to-the-public event in October 2014. This is not your everyday business competition. Final contenders are charged with creating a 90-second video that conveys their story, the core business proposition and how Colorado has influenced the company’s inception, culture and growth. This is 90-seconds to make us believe.

Voormi, a Pagosa Springs, Colo., startup producing backcountry gear made in the United States with proprietary wool materials sourced from the Rocky Mountains, took home the 2013 crown. Sharing the stage were 2013 finalists Optic Nerve and Fishpond.  View 2013 Official Contenders & Entry VideosVoormi joins the ranks of Flylow and MHM as past winners of the Wright Award.

The nomination process is straight-forward. Simply email us at nominate[at]somethingindependent.com to throw your hat in the ring, or even better, recommend a company that you feel represents the enterprising spirit that the Wright Award celebrates.
