Denver Startup Week announces 2014 dates and opens event submission period.

The Denver startup scene is pretty damn cool. No single industry dominates the landscape, yet there is one that never fails to get us up and out of our seats. Manufacturing. It’s all about making sh**.Manufacturers are distillers and coffee roasters. They are brewers and producers of aluminum cans. They are ski and snowboard makers, bike-builders and makers of the boats, rods and reels that provide those River Runs Through It moments that can make a summer.Real people making real products, growing businesses you can touch.Denver Startup Week (Sept 15-20, 2014) is a week to celebrate everything entrepreneurial in Denver. The week is comprised of four primary programming tracks – Technology, Business, Design and Manufacturing. One of the things we love most about manufacturing, as an industry, is that it inherently incorporates elements of every Startup Week track. Behind that Never Summer snowboard that you rode all season is hundreds of hours design, thousands of dollars of technology, and a home-grown business model that shouts, Colorado.Something Independent is honored to lead the Manufacturing Track for Denver Startup Week. It’s a week for anyone to get involved and it’s our job to encourage you to do so. From now through May 23, Denver Startup Week is accepting submissions for proposed sessions. In 2013, over 125 community-driven events took place throughout Denver, including workshops, panels, presentations, tours and many happy hours. This year promises to be an even bigger celebration of the entrepreneurial community in Denver and the great companies, innovation and ideas happening throughout the City.Submit your Startup Week program idea today.
